About Us
The Sweet Addiction is a nonprofit organization founded by Robin Housch, a visionary leader passionate about empowering women survivors of human trafficking, addiction, domestic violence, and incarceration.
Robin’s professional journey spans over 20 years in the staffing industry, where she encountered many individuals deemed "unemployable" due to their troubled pasts. By listening to their stories, she recognized that these individuals were often good people facing overwhelming social, legal, and emotional barriers to employment. This realization ignited her commitment to creating pathways for women to rebuild their lives.
As a former Risk Manager at D.G. Corporation for eight years, Robin embraced a personal mission: "to make a positive impact in each life I touch." Guided by this mission, she established The Sweet Addiction in 2020 to address the unique challenges faced by women seeking a fresh start.
The cornerstone of The Sweet Addiction is its job readiness program, which provides skills training, mentorship, and employment opportunities to help women gain confidence and achieve success in both their personal and professional lives. Through catering and customer orders, the program ensures participants have meaningful work experiences while progressing toward self-sufficiency.
In 2024, Robin expanded her vision to include the development of a self-sustaining community offering homeownership to women. This holistic approach aims to provide long-term stability and recovery for women rebuilding their lives.
At The Sweet Addiction, we believe in lighting the path for others. By offering support, empowerment, and opportunity, we help women overcome barriers, realize their potential, and thrive in every aspect of life.

2025 Impact Highlights: Hope in Action
The Sweet Addiction’s impact in 2025 shows what happens when women are given real support, real opportunity, and a community that believes in their future. This year, Kay, who graduated in 2024, reached a milestone that represents stability and independence. She purchased her first new car, a moment that reflects the confidence and determination she built during her time in our program.
June experienced a year filled with meaningful progress. She passed her HiSET, welcomed her baby, moved into her own home, and secured external employment while continuing to work part time with The Sweet Addiction. Melody gained overnight visits with her daughters as she transitioned to an outside employer, a major step toward reunification. Kelsey paid off her motor vehicle fees, had her license reinstated, and also moved on to external employment. Each of these women stepped forward with courage, and each victory reflects the power of steady, compassionate support.
Your generosity also allowed us to meet urgent needs for women facing crisis. We provided rental assistance, utility assistance, and emergency housing to ensure that no woman in our community had to face instability alone. These resources often serve as the turning point that allows someone to move from surviving to rebuilding.
One of our most meaningful accomplishments this year was the opening of our first STEP Home in collaboration with a private owner. This home offers mothers a safe and supportive place to host overnight visits with their children while receiving mentorship, parenting guidance, and sober life training. It is a place where families begin to heal and reconnect, and where hope becomes something they can hold onto.
When you support The Sweet Addiction, you help create these stories of restoration and renewal. Your partnership opens doors, strengthens families, and gives women the chance to build lives filled with dignity, stability, and purpose.
