About Us
The Sweet Addiction is a nonprofit organization founded by Robin Housch, a visionary leader passionate about empowering women survivors of human trafficking, addiction, domestic violence, and incarceration.
Robin’s professional journey spans over 20 years in the staffing industry, where she encountered many individuals deemed "unemployable" due to their troubled pasts. By listening to their stories, she recognized that these individuals were often good people facing overwhelming social, legal, and emotional barriers to employment. This realization ignited her commitment to creating pathways for women to rebuild their lives.
As a former Risk Manager at D.G. Corporation for eight years, Robin embraced a personal mission: "to make a positive impact in each life I touch." Guided by this mission, she established The Sweet Addiction in 2020 to address the unique challenges faced by women seeking a fresh start.
The cornerstone of The Sweet Addiction is its job readiness program, which provides skills training, mentorship, and employment opportunities to help women gain confidence and achieve success in both their personal and professional lives. Through catering and customer orders, the program ensures participants have meaningful work experiences while progressing toward self-sufficiency.
In 2024, Robin expanded her vision to include the development of a self-sustaining community offering homeownership to women. This holistic approach aims to provide long-term stability and recovery for women rebuilding their lives.
At The Sweet Addiction, we believe in lighting the path for others. By offering support, empowerment, and opportunity, we help women overcome barriers, realize their potential, and thrive in every aspect of life.
