The 2026 Boro Baking Bash was an unforgettable evening filled with joy, creativity, and the kind of community support that reminds us why this mission matters. Bakers, families, volunteers, sponsors, and friends from across Rutherford County came together to celebrate restoration, second chances, and the women we serve every day through The Sweet Addiction.
This year’s event marked a milestone in our organization’s history. Because of the generosity of our attendees, donors, and partners, we raised a significant amount of funds that have now been placed into a dedicated holding account for the purchase of our very first STEP Home. This home will provide safe, stable, and supportive housing for mothers in recovery who are working to rebuild their lives and reunify with their children. Securing these funds brings us one step closer to opening a place where healing, dignity, and hope can take root for generations. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed incredible desserts, live demonstrations, friendly competition, and heartfelt stories from women whose lives have been transformed through job training, community support, and the love of Christ. Every moment reflected the heart of our mission and the strength of a community that believes in second chances.
We extend our deepest gratitude to every person who made this event possible. Thank you to our donors, sponsors, bakers, judges, volunteers, staff, and the many individuals who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Your dedication, creativity, and heart of service were evident in every detail. The success of this event is a direct result of your commitment to lifting up women who are working hard to build new lives.
Most of all, thank you to our community for showing up with such generosity and compassion. Your support is a powerful reminder that restoration is possible when people come together with purpose and love. The Sweet Addiction is honored to walk this journey with you, and we are excited for the future as we move closer to opening our first STEP Home.
Together, we are building something beautiful for the women and families of our community.
